A Jordanian lawyer complains to Jafar Hassan about inappropriate employee behavior

Khaberni - Laywer Hidaya Al-Frihat appealed to Prime Minister Jafar Hassan to intervene to address what she described as the increasing cases of inappropriate treatment by some employees of the ministries and official institutions towards female visitors, especially lawyers and female employees.

Al-Frihat stated in her appeal to the Prime Minister that the recent period witnessed verbal actions and discrimination in providing services within some departments, emphasizing that the law and the constitution do not discriminate in treatment between men and women, and that what is happening is contrary to the principles of justice and equality.

She added that these practices, although not generalized to all employees, have become noticeable and are spreading, stressing the need for directors and officials to adhere to the principles of decent and professional dealings with visitors, and respect for women in accordance with Jordanian societal values based on decency and propriety.

Al-Frihat concluded her appeal by saying that improving the way services are provided in public institutions enhances trust between citizens and official bodies, urging the adoption of awareness and administrative measures to ensure that such transgressions are not repeated.
