The Prime Minister chairs a session for the Investment Council

Khaberni - Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, on Sunday, chaired a meeting for the Investment Council; this is part of the ongoing implementation of programs aimed at developing the investment environment, according to the goals of the economic modernization vision.

During the meeting, the Minister of Investment Tarek Abu Ghazaleh presented the main steps taken in the field of stimulating local and foreign investments, enhancing the partnership between the public and private sectors, improving the competitiveness of the national economy, alongside efforts to improve Jordan's ranking in international indices related to the business and investment environment.

The council discussed the progress in improving the investor's journey, developing legislation governing the investment environment, including a project for an amended system to regulate the investment environment, which aims to simplify procedures, speed up transaction completion, and develop an incentive system according to best standards.

The council also discussed the importance of accelerating the digital transformation in investment services, the necessity to continue updating the investment opportunities map, which enhances connectivity, facilitates access to data, and improves investment readiness.

The meeting addressed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Jordanian-European Investment Conference scheduled to be held in April, which is a strategic milestone to enhance partnership with the European Union and attract quality investments.
