Khaberni - Art critic Magda Khairallah invited Asmaa Galal to demand compensation after her appearance on "Ramez Level The Beast," considering that what happened exceeded the limits of joking.
Magda Khairallah urged actress Asmaa Galal to file for compensation, after she was subjected to what she considered an insult during her appearance as a guest on the prank show "Ramez Level The Beast," hosted by actor Ramez Galal.
During a phone intervention on a television channel, she stated that the program hosted by Ramez Galal for 16 years is fundamentally based on insulting the guest artist.
She explained that the introduction Ramez Galal uses to start his episodes, along with the phrases used, is described as "vulgar and rude," urging every artist who has been bullied or insulted to demand monetary compensation.
Khairallah pointed out that the program is based on provoking the guest star's emotions until the latter begins attacking Ramez Galal, then the situation escalates to mutual abuse, considering the entire experience as psychologically harmful.
She added: "Instead of Asmaa returning the money, she should demand significant compensation, and it is the right of any artist to demand compensation," questioning why artists agree to appear on a program that includes this form of insult.
She pointed out that the program organizers offer payments described as substantial and tempting, but she emphasized that human dignity remains most important, noting that an artist has multiple sources of income, whether from advertisements, TV series, or films.
She also held the stars responsible for the continuation of the program over 16 years, considering that they encouraged its continuation by not refusing to appear in it from the start and not withdrawing from filming after discovering that Ramez Galal was the host.
In a related context, the lawyer of the actress Asmaa Galal issued a statement announcing the start of taking the necessary legal measures to review the extent of violation of her client's rights in Ramez Galal's program, in which she appeared in the first episode.
The statement clarified that the actress agreed to participate on the basis that it was an entertainment program based on the usual surprise element, and she was not presented with or notified in advance of any content related to the voiceover added during the editing stage.
The statement noted that this commentary included phrases of bullying and physical and personal insinuations, confirming that what appeared in the introduction and some comments and behaviors of the host goes beyond the acceptable scope of joking or artistic criticism, and enters the realm of moral harm and personal insult, especially when it concerns the human body or attributes unrelated to entertainment content.
The statement emphasized that participating in an artistic or entertainment work does not mean accepting to be subjected to insult or transformed into a subject for personal ridicule.
