Khaberni - The health condition of the Egyptian artist Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra has slightly improved during the past few hours, although he still lies in the intensive care unit of one of the major hospitals in Cairo, amidst meticulous medical care.
A source close to the artist's family confirmed in exclusive statements to "Alarabiya.net" that the medical team treating him "removed the ventilator, which he had resorted to two days ago due to a drop in blood oxygen levels, after they rose to a somewhat reassuring level".
The source added that the famous artist is still using an oxygen mask to maintain a safe level, noting that the famous artist opened his eyes and has become aware of his surroundings in a way that brings comfort.
Furthermore, the doctors have not set a date for his release from intensive care, as he will remain there until his condition improves.
These developments come three weeks after the distinguished artist suddenly fainted at home, where scans showed the presence of an "abnormal object" on the lung, raising suspicions that it might be a "tumor", and these suspicions have not yet been resolved due to the inability to perform a biopsy.
Ahmed Abu Zahra, the son of the great artist, reassured the public in previous statements to "Alarabiya.net" that his father's vital functions such as pulse, kidneys, liver, sugar, and pressure are working normally, but the challenge remains with the oxygen levels which are only stable via a breathing mask.
He described his father's condition as fluctuating between unconsciousness and slight responsiveness to the sounds of his family members only for a few seconds.
