Khaberni - The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced that it has uncovered the details of a video circulated on social media showing several individuals carrying firearms and bladed weapons and assaulting a man and his son, injuring them in a street in Qalyubia Governorate.
The ministry clarified that on the 19th of this month, the Qanatir al-Khayriyya Police Station received a report from a hospital about admitting a wire factory owner and his son (5 years old) suffering from shotgun pellets and lacerations. Upon questioning the victim, he accused his wife's uncle and his sons of orchestrating the incident due to family disputes.
The ministry added that four suspects residing in the district were identified and apprehended. They confessed to committing the assault due to the same family disputes, and the weapons used in the attack, including a shotgun, a homemade firearm, and a bladed weapon, were seized. Legal proceedings were taken against them.
