Thareed Endowment Providing 700000 meals over two years and increasing daily meals to 1300

Khaberni - The Executive Director of the Thareed Endowment, Yazan Qutaish, said on Friday that the endowment has provided around 700,000 meals in the downtown area of the capital, Amman, over the past two years.

Qutaish added that during the current month of Ramadan, the number of daily meals has been increased from 1,000 to 1,300 to meet the needs of all the endowment's guests.

He explained that the principle of the endowment is based on investing "the financial asset" and benefiting from its returns in accordance with the law of "endowing money and providing continuous benefit," noting that the endowment has a financial asset that is invested legally and religiously, regulated by multiple councils and committees that monitor the endowment's activities.

He confirmed that the returns from the investments are spent on the meals distributed, urging everyone to contribute to the "financial asset," affirming that the financial asset is perpetual charity and enables the endowment's sustainability.

He pointed out that the social sector today lacks sustainability of operations and service delivery.

Qutaish clarified that the endowment cannot accept Zakat funds by its religious ruling, and it is not permissible for it to accept them, indicating that "Click Endowment" is designated for the financial asset, while "Click Thareed" is designated for meals and direct feeding.

He indicated that the endowment's plan includes covering all provinces of the kingdom, and before the end of this year, a new center will be opened in the Balqa Governorate in the Abu Ubaida area.
