Khaberni - More than 10 workers were killed and 2 were injured following a violent collision that occurred on the "Port Said – Ismailia" road, after a heavy truck ran over a pickup truck carrying them.
The workers were traveling in a "pickup truck" on their way to work, before they were forcefully hit by a heavy truck, resulting in a large number of casualties at the site of the accident.
The initial death toll exceeded 10 people, while the injured were transferred to the June 30 Hospital for necessary treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to three hospitals: "Al-Zohor Hospital and Al-Nasr Hospital", in addition to the June 30 Hospital, where they were placed in the morgues at the disposal of the investigating authorities, pending the completion of legal procedures and issuance of burial permits.
Immediately, the security forces were notified of the incident, and they moved to the accident site, while the investigating authorities began their work to uncover the circumstances of the collision and determine its causes, amid a state of sadness among the residents.
