Khaberni - As part of the preparations of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority for the holy month of Ramadan, Dr. Sabri Al-Rafou, the director of the Control and Enforcement Directorate, confirmed that the authority's slaughterhouse has commenced working at its maximum production capacity, in preparation for the holy month and to meet the local market needs for fresh meat.
Dr. Al-Rafou clarified that slaughtering processes are conducted according to the highest health and veterinary standards and under the direct supervision of specialized veterinarians, ensuring the safety and reliability of the meat circulated in the markets, and preserving public health.
Dr. Al-Rafou urged the citizens to ensure the presence of the official slaughterhouse stamp on the meat before purchasing it, and not to deal with any unstamped meats, emphasizing that the regulatory staff conduct daily inspection campaigns on butcheries and markets to verify compliance with approved health standards.
He also encouraged citizens to report any observations or complaints through the complaints and suggestions platform via the WhatsApp application at the number (0798008008), affirming that food safety is a top priority for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.
