Singapore
The Mufti of Singapore announced that Thursday, February 19th, is the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, due to the non-observation of the crescent moon.
Brunei
Brunei officially announced that Thursday, February 19th, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Turkey
The Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs stated that the sighting of the crescent moon was not possible on Tuesday, February 17th, from any location in the Arab and Islamic world, nor from the American continents, thus Thursday, February 19th was determined as the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
Sultanate of Oman
The Sultanate of Oman announced that Wednesday, February 18th, is the completion of the month of Sha'ban, and that Thursday, February 19th, is the first day of the month of Ramadan.
Experts in astronomical affairs also confirmed the impossibility of sighting the crescent moon when investigating its entrance on Tuesday.
