Khaberni - Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei classified the victims of the recent events that the country witnessed into 3 categories, confirming that everyone, except for the leaders of sedition and professional rioters, are his children.
The Iranian Leader reviewed the range of victims in the events of the sedition that the country witnessed during the month of January, in a meeting held this Tuesday morning with the people of East Azerbaijan province, confirming that everyone - except for the leaders of sedition and professional rioters - is considered his children, and that hearts are grieved for the blood that was shed.
He clarified the division of the victims who fell during those events into three main categories:
The first category: Defenders of Stability
They are members of the security forces, the Basij, the Revolutionary Guard, and those who supported them on the ground in protecting the regime. These are considered among the victims who sacrificed their lives in the performance of their national duty.
The second category: Innocent Passersby
These are civilians who fell victim to the disturbances without direct involvement, as riots in cities may affect innocent people who were on their way to their jobs or homes. They, too, are considered among the victims of the sedition, regardless of the source of the bullets that hit them, because their deaths occurred in the context of disturbances ignited by the enemy.
The third category: The Deceived with Little Experience
These are those who followed the sedition inciters naively or with little awareness, without full understanding of the consequences of their actions. According to the speech, these are also considered the children who went astray, and some of them expressed remorse and requested pardon. Those who were killed among them were considered victims, a classification described as correct and just.
In conclusion, Khamenei emphasized that the circle of victims whose memories are recognized is broad, except for the leaders of the sedition and those who received direct financial or military support from abroad, the rest - whether they were defenders of security, passersby, or even those who participated for a limited period in the disturbances - are considered the children for whom mercy and forgiveness are hoped, asking God to overlook their mistakes.
