Khaberni - The Syndicate of Honorable Ancestries in Egypt issued an official statement in response to what has been circulated on some media platforms and social networking sites in the past few hours regarding the issuance of a lineage certificate for Wessam Reda Ismail, famously known as "the artist Zeina" and her two sons.
The syndicate explained that it had commissioned a lineage committee specialized in examining the issues raised about the incident, and the committee conducted a complete investigation that concluded with the confirmation of the correctness of the procedures taken, according to the legitimate rules and the approved official documents.
The syndicate noted that on January 22, 2026, Wessam Reda Ismail filed a request to establish her lineage from her mother, and to certify the lineage of her two sons from herself, providing all required documents, along with the birth certificates of her sons, which proved that all these papers were correct and certified by the competent government authorities.
The statement added that the listed individual derived her lineage from her mother and grandmother, whose lineage was certified through her father Mr. Seyyed Ali Zaher, dated December 22, 1997, by official documents.
The Syndicate of Honorable Ancestries confirmed that the lineage committee members conducted a comprehensive examination of all the submitted documents, which were sufficient and definitive to establish the lineage, as confirmed through genealogical trees and definitive textual sources, according to the established customs in this matter.
The statement pointed out that establishing lineage through the maternal side (lineage of wombs) was approved and authorized based on a Fatwa issued by the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta, which clarifies any ambiguity around the legitimacy of the procedure followed.
The syndicate emphasized that the noble lineage is a genuine right established by reliable documentation and continuity, not a privilege that can be given or taken away, affirming that it, or any other entity, does not have the right to deprive anyone of their confirmed lineage for any considerations related to their personal circumstances or the nature of their profession.
The Syndicate of Honorable Ancestries concluded its statement by confirming that the sole criterion for establishing or denying lineage is the criterion of absolute proof, devoid of personal desires or interpretations, referencing the saying of Almighty Allah: ﴿When you receive it with your tongues and speak with your mouths what you have no knowledge of, and you think it is trivial while it is great in the sight of Allah﴾.
The first photos of Zeina's children
Previously, the artist Zeina celebrated her and her children, "Zein El Din" and "Ezz El Din," obtaining the certificate of affiliation to the lineage of the prophet, peace be upon him, saying: "This is the best gift I have ever received in my entire life."
On the margins of the celebration, Zeina revealed their photos, where she published images of their ID cards for the first time since their birth, as she had been intentionally hiding their features from the media and her audience in general. The names on the ID cards were: "Al Sharif: Ezz El Din Ahmad Ezz El Din Ali Ezzat" and "Al Sharif: Zein El Din Ahmad Ezz El Din Ali Ezzat."
"The best gift I have ever received in my entire life"
Zeina expressed her immense joy for obtaining the certificate of affiliation to the lineage of the prophet, writing on her "Instagram" account, "May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad.. The most beautiful thing that happened in my life.. My mother and grandmother had this certificate long ago.. But I was embarrassed to say people would call me a liar, my sister Nesrine procured our certificates, me and my sisters, and then for my children, on my birthday and this is the best gift I have ever received in my entire life.. Thank you so much my sister."
"Me and my children belong to the Sharifs due to my mother"
Zeina continued in her message: "We are from the lineage of the prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.. Me and my children belong to the Sharifs due to my mother.. I wanted to share with you a great joy in my heart, me, Zein, and Ezz."
