On the Day of Loyalty to Retired Military Personnel… I stand before the biography of a man who cannot be summarized by a rank, nor encompassed by words.
My uncle, may God have mercy on him, a general in the Public Security, was not just an office holder, but a man of principle and sound mind. He was as smart as true leaders are, reading situations before they are spoken, making decisions with steadiness and wisdom, and balancing firmness and fairness with rare insight—so much so that he was dubbed the “Public Security Computer” because he remembered the details, connected the dots, and made decisions with rare steadiness and confidence.
He served his nation honorably, then continued his service in the Ministry of the Interior. When he finished his official career, he did not end his mission; he remained as we knew him, an open door for people, an extended hand for good, and a heart that did not turn away the needy.
The stranger testified before the familiar... that his home was a refuge, his word was support, and his deed preceded his mention. He did not seek accolades, but he deserved them. And he did not ask for thanks, but prayers followed him in his life and after his departure.
Then he carried the name of Jordan with pride in his work with the United Nations, where he was seen as an image of the genuine Jordanian man: dignified in his presence, merciful in his dealings, and smart in his decisions.
On the Day of Loyalty… I say it with the pain of loss:
May God have mercy on you, my uncle, you were a man and a support that cannot be replicated. You left a void that cannot be filled, a legacy that cannot be erased, and a biography that will last longer than life itself.
May Allah account the good he provided in the balance of his virtues, and repay him on our behalf and on behalf of everyone who knew him with the best of rewards.
