Not a Murder Mystery Solving the Puzzle of the Fetuses in Garbage Boxes that Terrified Egyptians

Khaberni - Social media sites were buzzing with shocking photos documenting the discovery of four human fetuses and five placentas inside a bag discarded in a garbage can in Minya province in Upper Egypt, which caused widespread shock and raised many questions in the past few hours.

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior quickly issued an official statement to resolve the debate, revealing the true details behind those shocking photos. It explained that the Minya police station received, last Saturday, a report about the discovery of the fetuses in garbage cans next to a water drain in one of the villages.

With intensified investigations, the security forces were able to identify the perpetrator, a worker residing in the village, who confessed that his boss had given him the bag following the request of a widow of a prominent, now retired, gynecologist and obstetrician.

Upon summoning the widow, she confirmed the incident, explaining that she found the fetuses inside her late husband's clinic after his death in January. He had been conducting research on deformed fetuses as part of his medical work.

She explained she handed the bag to one of her acquaintances to bury the fetuses; however, he passed it to the worker, who then discarded it in the garbage instead of conducting the burial.

The Ministry of Interior took all legal measures against all involved parties and referred them to the Public Prosecution to commence investigations and ascertain the circumstances of preserving the fetuses and the manner of their disposal against the law.
