Khaberni - The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt decided to stop airing the TV show "The Secret in the Story" on the "Al-Hadath Al-Youm" channel.
The ruling included the immediate ban from appearing on media for the show's host Sara Hadi and one of her guests, who are subject to Egyptian law, due to professional and legal violations observed in the episode aired on February 14.
This official action followed the detection of severe violations related to hosting a person who faces criminal accusations in a case of harassment against a female, a matter that is still under investigation by the Egyptian Public Prosecution. The council considered the suspect's appearance as a violation of media standards and an attempt to influence public opinion on an ongoing investigation.
The decision included summoning the legal representative of the channel for investigation regarding the incident, and mandated all press and media institutions in the country to comply with the decision to prohibit the mentioned individuals from appearing until the Complaints Committee concludes examining the incident and conducting necessary investigations.
The council affirmed that its decision comes "within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts to tighten control over visual content and prevent ethical and legal violations on screens".
