The occupation announces the arrest of 7 Palestinians during an infiltration attempt

Khaberni  - The Israeli police announced the arrest of seven Palestinians and the deportation of eight others after stopping a vehicle carrying 15 Palestinian residents suspected of illegally entering Israel last week.

The police spokesperson clarified that the suspects were headed to work in Bnei Brak, planning a long-term stay.

The police confirmed that the operation was carried out by officers from the Sha'aleim police station as part of the "Capital Shield" initiative, aimed at enforcing laws against illegal entry and residency, maintaining security in the capital, and preventing the influx of terrorist elements.

The police explained that the vehicle raised suspicions, and the inspection revealed the presence of 15 Palestinians, some with criminal records. Seven of them were arrested and interrogated, and they will face charges, while the rest were deported to the West Bank.

The police added that these arrests came after a broad campaign carried out in early February, which included the closure of ten businesses and the detention of over 45 Palestinians working illegally in the coastal area.

The police mentioned that the operation targeted the employment of individuals entering Israel without permits.
