Khaberni - Dr. Yaqoub Nasser Al-Din, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Middle East University, said during his hosting on the "A New Day" program aired on Jordanian television screen, that His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein has given youth significant space by allowing them to participate in the political and partisan life, and preparing a legislative environment that enables them to reach leadership positions, pointing out that the appearance of young deputies in the parliament is a clear indicator of the success of the political modernization process and its translation into practical reality.
He expressed great optimism about the ability of Jordanian youth to leverage these spaces, especially in the context of partisan work, which now forms a platform for expressing ambitions and ideas within a structured constitutional and legal framework, balancing freedom of expression and national responsibility.
Nasser Al-Din explained that aligning educational outcomes with the labor market is largely linked to the rapid advancements in technology, industrial revolution, and digitization, which sometimes exceed the immediate response capacity of academic institutions, due to the precise procedures and strict standards governing the introduction of new programs and specialties, confirming the considerable efforts Jordanian universities are making to adapt to these changes.
He emphasized that digitization represents a tool and methodology for developing the educational process, and is not a substitute for its core knowledge component, pointing out that fundamental sciences – such as physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics – will remain the cornerstone of any educational system, even amidst the shift towards digital tools and modern technologies.
