With a quarterbilliondollar investment New Jersey to host the first AI drama studio complex

Khaberni  - The state of New Jersey has announced the birth of the new "Digital Hollywood," through the launch of an advanced studio complex worth $250 million, within a project that is a cornerstone for a new era of media production, focusing exclusively on content that fits with the nature of smartphones and contemporary viewer behavior, such as very short series and interactive artificial intelligence media.

Developer Alan Morovicka, a founding partner, revealed the inauguration of Filmology Labs: Content Creation Studios, which will be located in Patterson, New Jersey, to serve as an advanced center for producing the next generation of media content, including digital series, podcasts, and platforms based on artificial intelligence technology.

According to "Variety" magazine, the complex will also include the vertical drama platform Verza TV, owned by Morovicka, which plans to produce more than two vertical short dramas monthly, in addition to hosting projects for independent producers and companies specializing in this type of content.

From a silk factory... to a digital studio

The new complex is located in a historic building that was previously used as a silk factory, locally known as the "Padded Carriage Building."

It is scheduled to be transformed into a production center covering 250,000 square feet, benefitting from its proximity to New York City and the tax incentives offered by the state of New Jersey.

For his part, the mayor of Patterson, Andre Sayegh, welcomed the project, considering it a qualitative investment that will create new job opportunities and enhance innovation, positioning the city prominently on the map of advanced media and entertainment economy.

Facilities and technical equipment

According to the press release, Filmology Labs was designed by the world-renowned architect Conrad Roncati from the firm Architectura, significantly different from traditional studios. The complex includes 21 pre-equipped filming platforms with permanent sets and integrated lighting, specifically designed for rapid vertical production, which reduces the costs and time associated with building traditional sets.

The project also includes sound studios, artificial intelligence studios, podcast spaces, and a green screen studio, along with an LED Volume Wall light wall theater similar to the one used in the series "The Mandalorian." Additionally, there are creative offices, a central restaurant that accommodates 200 people, and fitness and yoga facilities.

The project is seen as a new step reflecting the rapid transformation in the media and entertainment industry towards fast digital content and smart technologies.
