Al-Azzam indicated during a meeting with several leaders of the Jordanian Role Model Party that the saved amount was directed to fund infrastructure projects in the city, enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and contributing to the development of public facilities, clarifying that the municipality's budget for the current year reached 43 million dinars.
He added that the municipality has started implementing infrastructure projects that included reconstructing large parts of Dr. Aref Al-Batayneh Street and Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, pointing out that about 70,000 square meters of asphalt mix will soon be implemented in the Beit Ras area, alongside paving works in several areas, and executing stormwater drainage lines in locations determined during the recent depressions.
He referred to the municipality's plans to tender for improving streets and sidewalks in the city center and increasing green spaces, noting that about 10,000 trees have been planted so far, with ongoing work in planting gardens, squares, and central islands.
Al-Azzam confirmed that the municipality continues to work on enhancing the level of services provided to the citizens, through performance evaluation, field work monitoring, taking citizens' comments seriously, in addition to enhancing communication with the media as a partner in conveying information and establishing transparency.
On his part, the General Secretary of the Party, Iyad Al-Najjar, emphasized that empowering municipalities with clear authorities, adequate resources, and supportive legislation constitutes a genuine entry point for administrative reform and sustainable development, pointing to the importance of the partnership between the municipality and the citizens for the benefit of the city.
