Hungarian Ambassador Interested in Launching to the Syrian Market through Jordan

Khaberni - President of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, discussed during his meeting with the Hungarian Ambassador to Jordan, Peter Szijjarto Jakab, the prospects for developing economic relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance the level of trade and investment cooperation to serve mutual interests.

During the meeting, Al-Haj Tawfiq called on the Hungarian private sector to participate in the Jordan and the European Union Investment Conference scheduled to be held in the Kingdom next April, emphasizing that the conference, which is one of the outcomes of the Jordan and the European Union summit, forms a strategic platform to enhance investment partnerships between the two sides.

According to a statement issued by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Al-Haj Tawfiq confirmed during the meeting that was held at the Chamber's headquarters, that the conference opens broad prospects for Hungarian companies to benefit from the investment opportunities available in the Kingdom, especially in major strategic projects.

For his part, Ambassador Jakab emphasized his country's dedication to deepening economic cooperation with Jordan, confirming the interest of Hungarian companies in participating in the Jordan and the European Union Investment Conference, and to expand their presence in the region, and to benefit from the investment environment provided by the Kingdom.

He confirmed the interest in his country to launch into the Syrian market through Jordan, considering it a regional logistical and investment platform, within official frameworks and in coordination with relevant entities, praising the role played by Jordan in supporting regional economic cooperation pathways.
