Khaberni - As the Ramadan drama season approaches, drama makers race to finish filming their episodes. However, some series have experienced backstage tensions between their stars, causing disruptions in their filming schedules for some time.
"A Father, But"
It all started with the series "A Father, But" featuring Mohamed Farraj and Hajar Ahmed. A crisis erupted between the actress Salwa Osman and the director Yasmin Ahmed Kamel, which escalated to a verbal altercation between them at the shooting location, leading Salwa to seek assistance from Ashraf Zaki, the head of the actors' syndicate, to resolve the crisis.
A source from inside the series revealed that the problem stemmed from the director's interaction style, which the renowned star rejected, feeling it diminished her as a seasoned actress who had spent years in the profession and delivered many dramatic and cinematic works.
The source added that after the intervention by the head of the actors' syndicate, the crisis was fully resolved, and the series' filming resumed, including actress Salwa Osman.
The series "A Father, But" discusses the issue of seeing children after divorce from a human perspective, advocating for longer periods and more suitable places for the nature of the relationship between the father and his children, instead of limiting it to traditional venues.
"Immunity"
The series "Immunity" also witnessed a major crisis between its star Hend Sabri and actress Maha Nassar, who accused Sabri of controlling the course of the work completely and cutting some of her scenes. This led to a severe altercation between the two actresses at the series' location, halting the shooting for several hours. The actors' syndicate also intervened to resolve the crisis, and filming resumed, but the conflict between the two stars remains unresolved.
"Immunity" belongs to the genre of engaging social works that discuss contemporary human issues within a dramatic framework that combines emotional tension and suspense, while the makers bet on presenting a different experience that captivates the audience during the Ramadan race.
The work stars Hend Sabri, Riyadh Al-Khouly, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Khaled Selim, Maha Nassar, Karim Kassem, Ahmed El Shamy, Mimi Gamal, Hoda El Etrbi, written by Amr El Daly, and directed by Hussein El Manbawi.
"Ask Yourself"
The series "Ask Yourself" also faced a crisis between actress Dalia Mustafa and the director Osama Arabi, due to her waiting several hours inside the shooting location after the director asked her to wear her character's clothes and wait for an hour until they could start shooting her scenes. However, she was surprised to find herself waiting for more than 8 hours until the early hours of the next day.
To her surprise, the director informed the actress that her scenes were postponed to another day, which greatly angered her, leading to a crisis with the series' director. The production team intervened to resolve the crisis.
The series revolves around the character of Prosecutor Khaled, who begins a journey to uncover the truth after public opinion is shaken by a shocking video of the killing of a girl named "Ghazala". With each document he examines in the case files, a human tragedy unfolds, starting with Ghazala fleeing from the hell of her village and falling into the exploitation trap of the city.
Khaled finds himself facing a front of corruption that launches a deliberate smear campaign to tarnish the victim's reputation and obscure the crime's details. The series "Ask Yourself" stars Yasmin Raeis, Ahmed Fahmi, written by Mohamed El Hanawy, and directed by Osama Arabi.
"Ali Clay"
Recently, news emerged about a conflict between actress Dora and Yara El Sekery in the backstage of the series "Ali Clay", as the two stars competed for the lead role opposite actor Ahmed El Awadi, especially since their roles were closely matched, along with their characters having the same impact within the work, which caused a problem between them.
The lead actor Ahmed El Awadi and the directing team intervened to contain the crisis and prevent its escalation, allowing filming to resume, ultimately resolving the matter in favor of actress Dora due to her being the more veteran artist.
The series "Ali Clay" stars Ahmed El Awadi, Dora, Yara El Sekery, Essam El Saka, Tarek El Dsouky, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, written by Mahmoud Hamdan, and directed by Mohamed Abdel Salam.
