Khaberni - Dr. Carla Mendez, a molecular biologist, warns that losing only 2% of brain hydration is enough to weaken the ability to think clearly.
According to the biologist, chronic dehydration not only affects concentration but also reflects on sleep quality and the level of inflammation in the body. According to a report published by Huffington Post.
Mendez says that a dehydrated brain does not efficiently enter the stages of deep sleep, which are the stages responsible for repairing neurons and emotional balance, ensuring that the body operates at peak efficiency when it is in an ideal hydration state.
However, according to Mendez, it’s not just about drinking water. Many believe they meet their daily needs, while their cells suffer from ongoing dehydration.
She points out that a cell needs minerals, fruits, vegetables, and high bioavailability fluids to achieve what she calls "deep hydration."
She places green juices at the top of her recommendations, especially when consumed in the morning with fruit. She says that starting the day with water, green juices, and fruit significantly reduces inflammation.
For those who suffer from weight loss, she advises adjusting the options, like carrot juice, to ensure a healthy balance.
Mendez also links hydration to the health of the gut and liver, pointing to supportive foods like garlic, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, and artichoke, as well as herbs like dandelion and arugula.
She believes that nuts and seeds have an anti-inflammatory effect comparable to extra virgin olive oil.
Notably, she highlights the connection between emotional health and physical inflammation, stating that ignoring the psychological aspect makes any dietary plan incomplete.
Mendez, who specializes in epigenetics, microbiota, and plant-based nutrition, developed her approach after recovering from cancer and its toxic treatments, combining deep hydration and emotional rebalancing to enhance energy and mental clarity.
