The League is on Fire and Salami observes and the Refereeing
Author: الصحفي مجدي محمد محيلان

Almighty God said, "And those days we alternate among the people," Surah Al-Imran, verse 140.
With the conclusion of the fourteenth week of the league, Al-Hussein Irbid has climbed to the top while Al-Faisaly has dropped to the third place and Al-Ramtha maintained its position in second place. Despite its significant win over Al-Faisaly, Al-Wehdat settled in fourth position. Therefore, there is no big nor small in the professional league which has given sweetness to the league and the competition is ongoing among the four top teams. The leadership has been fluctuating since the start of the league among three teams: Al-Ramtha, Al-Faisaly, and Al-Hussein and we do not know what the remaining weeks of the professional race hold.
The most important thing is that the biggest beneficiary of this unparalleled competition (four teams competing) is the national team -may God bless them- because the intense rivalry between the teams means the emergence of new talents and capabilities that will enrich the national team with more stars who might be in the lineup of Coach Jamal Salami for the upcoming World Cup. Not to mention, I started to notice some veterans returning to their previous levels such as Yasin Al-Bakhit and Hamza Al-Dardour, among others, which gives Salami a broader strategy for the upcoming selection from among the veterans and promising stars, which is a favor from God.
The most notable point in week fourteen is the return of Al-Wehdat's fans, which added a wonderful atmosphere to the stands and showed its impact on the players who appeared as they have not appeared before this season. The spirit is soaring, the enthusiasm is extraordinary, and the morale is above the wind, so cheers for the return of Al-Wehdat's fans -may God increase and bless-.
As for the refereeing and its question marks, I suggest, until the arrival of VAR, that it be foreign -non-Jordanian-, not as a disparagement of our referees, but out of mercy for them so they can be above any doubt or belittling or questioning as our refereeing is ultimately like a barley loaf, consumed and criticized.
Finally, what the professional league is witnessing this year is a precedent, and the main reason is that it is the league of the World Cup.
