Khaberni - The Spanish site "El Nacional" issued a controversial report indicating that the future of the Norwegian star Erling Haaland, Manchester City striker, is closely linked to the identity of the next coach of Real Madrid.
The report revealed that Haaland might seek to move to "Santiago Bernabeu" this summer, provided that German Jürgen Klopp is appointed as the team's technical director.
"El Nacional" explained that the striker, who is contracted with City until 2034, sees in Klopp the leadership figure capable of continuing his successful career that he experienced under Pep Guardiola, especially amid the uncertainty surrounding Guardiola’s future with the English club at the end of this season.
The report, also covered by "Talk Sport" recalling previous praises, mentioned that Klopp, who currently serves as the President of Global Football at "Red Bull", had previously described Haaland as "the best striker in the world," which reinforces the theory of mutual admiration that might facilitate bringing them together in Madrid.
Should this step be completed, Florentino Perez's administration, which has long admired Haaland, would have to replace interim coach Alvaro Arbeloa with Klopp, aligning with news indicating the "Royal" club's desire for a comprehensive rebuild starting with the technical director position and extending to bolstering the squad with heavy-caliber deals to reclaim continental dominance.
