Dubai International Airport The Worlds Busiest Airport

Khaberni - Dubai International Airport maintained its title as the world's busiest airport last year, after it recorded a new record number of 95.2 million passengers, according to officials yesterday, a new indicator of the continued economic momentum witnessed by the Emirate.

This performance reflects a strong recovery for the aviation sector in the post-pandemic phase, driven by increasing global demand for travel, alongside continued growth in the tourism, business, and real estate sectors in Dubai. The Emirate announced earlier this week a 5% increase in the number of tourists last year, reaching 19.6 million visitors, marking the third consecutive year of record numbers, according to "A B".

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said that 2025 confirmed that "record-breaking passenger traffic is no longer an exception but has become part of the operational reality for the airport." The airport had recorded 92.3 million passengers in 2024, compared to 86.9 million in 2023. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the passenger numbers were 86.3 million in 2019 and 89.1 million in 2018.

India topped the list of destinations in terms of the number of passengers through the airport last year with approximately 11.9 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia with 7.5 million, and then the United Kingdom with 6.3 million passengers. Dubai International Airport serves 108 airlines flying to 291 cities in 110 countries around the world.
