Khaberni - The main committee for the sighting of the lunar months in the Sultanate of Oman announced that Thursday, February 19, 2026, will be the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH.
The official Omani news agency published a statement issued by the specialized committee for moon sighting, which clarified that on Tuesday, 29 Sha'ban (February 17), it was definitively impossible to see the crescent moon; because the moon set before the sun in all parts of the Sultanate, making its sighting astronomically and religiously impossible on that day.
