Netanyahu Signs Accession Agreement to Gaza Peace Council

Khaberni - Israeli media sources revealed today, Wednesday, that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at "Blair House" in the U.S. capital Washington, just before the upcoming summit with U.S. President Donald Trump.

As reported, during the meeting, Netanyahu signed the accession document to the "Gaza Peace Council," a move that comes ahead of high-level political talks with the U.S. administration. No further details about the nature of the council or its tasks were disclosed.

The "Peace Council" was formed under an agreement between Israel and Hamas to manage the Gaza Strip, and it is also expected that its mandate will extend to preventing and resolving conflicts in other areas.

The first meeting of the council is scheduled to take place on February 19 of this year in Washington.
