College of Information Technology at Arab Amman Wins First Place in Cyber Future  Railway Edition Competition Among 14 Team

Khaberni - In the framework of the ongoing journey of Arab Amman University towards academic leadership and technological innovation, the students of the College of Information Technology achieved a new qualitative accomplishment that adds to the university's record of excellence by securing the first place in the Cyber Future – Railway Edition (CFR) competition, specializing in cybersecurity, digital technologies, and penetration testing, with wide participation from Jordanian public and private universities.
The team (Killer.AAU) won the first place, including students: Amer Ghaith, Mohammad Al-Ajarmeh, Ibrahim Abu Adiyeh, and Abdel Rahman Al-Qaisi from the cybersecurity specialization at the College of Information Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Kamal Aliyan, Assistant Dean of the College of Information Technology, and Dr. Bilal Khater, a faculty member in the cybersecurity department, while Al al-Bayt University team came in second place, and the Hashemite University team came in third.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sahweil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Arab Amman University, affirmed that the ongoing achievements of the college's students embody the fruit of the integrated efforts exerted by the college and its faculty members, alongside the continuous development of the academic plans, enhancing the practical aspect, and linking academic knowledge with real-world challenges, explaining that students' participation in such qualitative competitions contributes to honing their technical and research skills, developing their analytical thinking and teamwork abilities, and enhancing their readiness to actively engage in the job market, keeping pace with rapid technological developments, and reflecting Arab Amman University's vision in preparing competently qualified individuals capable of competing and innovating at local and regional levels.
Dr. Said Al-Tahat, Head of the Cybersecurity Department at Arab Amman University, expressed his pride in the distinguished level demonstrated by the students specializing in cybersecurity during their participation in the competition, affirming that they presented an honorable model in commitment, teamwork, and technical competition, noting that this experience constituted a significant practical opportunity for developing their skills and enhancing their expertise in the field of cybersecurity.
This achievement reflects the level of excellence achieved by the students of Arab Amman University and comes within the framework of the university management's ongoing directions to support students of the College of Information Technology and enable their active participation in specialized national events, contributing to the preparation of technical personnel who possess the competence and ability to compete in the fields of technology and cybersecurity, and it is noted that the competition witnessed the participation of (14) teams from various Jordanian universities, including Yarmouk University, Al al-Bayt University, Jerash University, Hashemite University, Jadara University, Zarqa University, and Irbid Private University.
