Venezuela ships first oil cargo to Israel in 6 years

Khaberni  - Venezuela sends its first crude oil shipment to Israel in 6 years, as it resumes its exports after the American forces detained its President Nicolas Maduro.

Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the deal who chose to remain anonymous, reported that the shipment is being transported to Bazan Group, the largest crude oil refining company in Venezuela.

At the beginning of the year, American forces detained Maduro, and the Trump administration announced that it would take over Venezuelan oil sales.

Israeli Discretion

Israel does not disclose its crude oil sources, and oil tankers sometimes vanish from digital tracking systems as soon as they approach the country's ports.

Upon arrival, this shipment will be the first of its kind since mid-2020, when Israel imported about 470,000 barrels, according to data from the company "Kepler".

This deal is the latest indicator of how the absence of the detained Venezuelan President Maduro from his duties influences the direction of Venezuelan oil flows.

In past years, most of Venezuela's production was sold to China, but last month oil cargoes from Venezuela were sold to buyers in India, Spain, and the United States.
