Egypt A decision by the authorities regarding the owner of Epstein Island party

Khaberni - The Egyptian Public Prosecution has decided to detain a party organizer for a period of 4 days pending investigations, after his announcement of organizing a noisy party under the slogan "A Day on Epstein Island" and offering free entry for girls to the event.

The Public Prosecution charged the accused with promoting and attempting to organize an entertainment event without obtaining the necessary legal permits from the competent authorities.

The decision came after an urgent security move following widespread sharing of an advertisement and a video clip on social media promoting a party titled "A Day on Epstein Island," which was scheduled to be held today, Tuesday, in one of the famous nightclubs in Cairo.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior clarified that the advertisement included phrases that sparked controversy, most notably the mention of free entry for girls, alongside choosing a name that clearly alludes to Jeffrey Epstein's private island, which has been globally linked with cases of sexual exploitation of minors and human trafficking.

The ministry confirmed that the security agencies recorded a complaint submitted by a woman expressing her disapproval and concern about the nature of the advertisement and the unclear content of the event, which prompted a rapid examination of the incident.

The Ministry of Interior further explained that upon investigation and examination, it was found that the event was announced and promoted without obtaining any official permits from the relevant authorities, violating laws regulating the organization of public gatherings and entertainment events.

The security forces were able to identify the organizer, who is a party planner residing in Cairo, and apprehended him, as well as coordinated immediately with the competent authorities to prevent the party from happening altogether and cancel all related preparations.

The term "Epstein Island" refers to the private island formerly owned by the late American businessman Jeffrey Epstein, which was involved in a major international scandal including accusations of sexual assault on minors and human trafficking, involving globally prominent figures.

This incident is part of ongoing campaigns conducted by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior and regulatory bodies to control events and advertisements that may conflict with community values or violate legal stipulations, especially those promoted through social media platforms.
