Khaberni - The staff of the General Food and Drug Administration closed one of the date packing factories due to it not obtaining the necessary licenses from the institution.
The institution clarified in a press release that it was apparent from the field inspection that there was a low level of compliance with the approved health standards and cleanliness requirements, pointing out that some product labels were seized which did not include the name of the factory.
The institution added that its staff seized a quantity of expired dates amounting to 5 tons in preparation for their disposal, and they have commenced referring the operators to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
