Khaberni - Petra University's football team has qualified for the second round of the "Leader" Championship for Jordanian universities held in Aqaba, after topping their group in competition.
The team secured its qualification after defeating the Islamic University of Science with a score (4–3), and drawing with the Jordanian University with a score (2–2).
The team is technically led by the national coach, Captain Hatem Akl, and coach Ibrahim Abu Nabe. The team roster includes players: Khaled Zakaria, Mohayseen Abu Jableh, Malek Allan, Salah Al-Farash, Abdullah Kzkz, Suheib Rateb, Abdullah Tanous, Abdul Rahman Al-Azza, Alaa Al-Jouhari, and Hasan Nana'ah.
The championship features twenty-five public and private universities participating and continues until Thursday, the twelfth of February.
