Investigation of a nursery employee accused of giving drugged candies to children

Khaberni - The American authorities have uncovered a shocking incident in an Illinois nursery, where a worker gave young children drugs hidden inside candy, causing a wave of anger and outrage among parents and the local community.

The police reported that Yezil Juarez, 23 years old, a childcare worker, is accused of giving children chewable laxative pills disguised as sweets. The alleged purpose of these actions was to make the children feel sick or tired so they would be sent home, according to the center's policy which states that sick children must be sent home and not return for 24 hours, according to the British newspaper "The Sun".

According to a report by CBS News, one mother, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated that her 17-month-old child had been suffering from recurring stomach issues for a long time without a clear explanation, saying: "We thought it might be a viral infection, but the tests came back negative."

A series of similar complaints from parents led to a local investigation by the Saint Charles city police. The mother confirmed that her child is still suffering from constipation and that the doctor described this condition as a side effect, referring to the uncertainty about the long-term health effects of these substances.

The mother explained that the center's management informed them that Juarez had been dismissed from her job after being accused of harming the children because she felt exhausted, and expressed her shock and anger: "The matter is disgusting.. she can look for another job."

The authorities reported that Juarez turned herself in to the police and several charges were filed against her, including three charges of attempted deliberate assault causing physical harm to victims under the age of 13, and three charges of endangering the lives and health of children. It is alleged that she has three victims, all under two years of age.

It is mentioned that Juarez was a student in early childhood education at Northern Illinois University, and she was dismissed from The Learning Experience childcare center. The authorities have scheduled her for a court appearance after her release from custody.

In a similar incident, a surveillance camera in Los Angeles captured the moment a worker at the Destiny Development Day Care and Preschool threw her shoe at a special needs child. The video showed the other two workers sitting watching the child, while the worker named only as "Emily" stood up, took off her shoe, and threw it towards the child, causing her to cry from pain, before apologizing and embracing her, with one of the workers laughing and the other cleaning the area. The Los Angeles County Police Department has officially opened an investigation into this incident.
