Love and Revenge with the rhythm of Revolution of Doubt between the roundabout and the street
الكاتب: عماد داود

The relationship that connects the Jordanian with the government is no longer subject to the laws of traditional politics, but to the scales of "yearning and disappointment" and "love and revenge"!
Here, love does not come as an emotional rush but as an unwritten contract that starts with a promise and ends with a bill!
The flow of governmental promises, like remembered melodies, does not delight listeners but tests their patience!
And when the tone is raised about: a "bottleneck" will widen!, or "a better future" will appear!; memory tightens before the wallet!; because the Jordanian has learned that the ear lies sometimes before the eye, and that what is said is not measured by what is seen but by what is paid! So then it becomes a "Revolution of Doubt" an act of survival, not a whim!, and doubt becomes a defensive virtue, not a vice!, because the heart that was miserable in its good faith no longer believes any words even if heard a thousand times, as if whispering to its government: "And I am not believing your words.. but I have been miserable in my good faith"!
Thus, government proposals advance in a procession of gifts and honours, and not least among them the novelty proposal of a three-day holiday shrouded in doubt like fog, not because the citizen is ungrateful, but because he has become adept at deciphering official tenderness!; the hand that gives today is known to take tomorrow with silent interest, and the eye that watches the statements no longer sees anything but the void between the words!
Suspicion has transformed into an internal geography inhabited by the citizen alone, carrying an identity card that reads: "suspected until proven otherwise"!; as the government treats him like a bank account of loyalty, depositing speeches and withdrawing patience! While he deals with it as a treasurer of secrets, opening one ear and closing another, because he has learned that experience is bitter, and that payment precedes "elevation" and follows it!
In this scene, the Jordanian does not appear ungrateful, but as a lover experienced in forbidden love! For every time he plunges into it, he pays the price!, thus he deceives his hearing and sees in the decisions something other than what the screens show!; for the caravan of nights carries only the bags of faces that change, while the approach continues to take root in the same glass! And every government proposal is read as a movement within the same frame not an exit from it! And from the "economic resuscitation room" the rituals are managed, where decisions are presented as emergency aid and charged as a bill of stay!, and the citizen is asked to applaud because he survived, and to remain silent because the alternative is worse!, but the collective conscience, corroded by installments, no longer accepts the rhetoric of fear; for doubt here has become a parallel language to the national discourse, and the citizen whose trust has been repeatedly disappointed is no longer afraid of being accused of ingratitude, but fears to believe again only to be deceived!
This quiet "Revolution of Doubt" is the harshest, because it does not raise banners, but builds invisible walls around every heart, and teaches the children that official promises are like summer rain—it may seem abundant but does not quench the thirst! So what is the value of a holiday if its tomorrow holds new surprises? And what is the meaning of a grant if it will be repaid in installments of dignity?
The state that demands love forgets that love does not test loyalty with taxation, and does not link generosity with conditions! But the relationship with us has become a suicidal equation: every love is paid for with a financial revenge, and every cordiality is an investment in future silence, so much so that the Jordanian lives in two homelands: a homeland of land and stone, and a homeland of suspicions and doubts!
Today, the Jordanian stands alert, confronting his government with the bitterness of the question: "Answer me when I ask you, is it true.. what people say... you betrayed? Did you not betray me?"!
And he is not asking for a miracle, but seeks policies that understand that the way out of a bottleneck is not by widening it linguistically but by breaking it instrumentally!
The homeland is not a homeland if it is a golden prison, or an eternal "bottleneck"! And love or loyalty does not straighten if it turns into a burden of living, and only then does the decision maker realize that restoring trust does not pass through the gate of rhetoric, but by closing the "bottleneck" permanently!, and that ears stop lying before the eyes do!
The citizen, worn out by doubts, no longer asks for justification, but demands a reality where "taxes and governmental fees" stop pursuing the "street of the exhausted and the disadvantaged"!젗o the doubt remains the only window through which the Jordanian glimpses his future, and "suspicion" becomes the only available homeland!
