Egypt Dunia ElAlfi Apologizes for the ExpletiveLaden Video

Khaberni - Singer Dunia El-Alfi expressed her respect for the decision of the Musicians' Syndicate to suspend her from singing for two months and to impose a financial penalty on her.

Dunia El-Alfi's comment came after she was investigated following her appearance in a widely circulated video, which featured the use of inappropriate language at a wedding. This led the syndicate to make a decision to temporarily suspend her from work.

Dunia El-Alfi wrote on her official Facebook account that she appreciates the role of the Musicians' Syndicate in regulating artistic work and maintaining professional standards, asserting her full commitment to its decisions and respect for its institutions.

She explained that what happened was an unintended incident, and it was not meant to offend the syndicate, the public, or her colleagues. She apologized for any behavior that was misunderstood contrary to her intentions.

The singer reaffirmed her respect for the chief Mustafa Kamel and the syndicate board, fully accepting the suspension decision for two months and the financial penalty, expressing her confidence in the syndicate's fairness and its dedication to the profession and its members.

Dunia El-Alfi also directed an apology to her audience, reaffirming her appreciation for their continuous support, and pledged to learn from this experience in the upcoming period.

The Musicians' Syndicate had decided to reduce the penalty imposed on the singer, making it a suspension from work for two months and a fine of 50,000 Egyptian pounds, instead of a three-month suspension and a 100,000 Egyptian pounds fine, following the investigation into the incident referred to.
