Shakira Shocks Her Fans in Egypt

Khaberni - The international star Shakira surprised her Egyptian and Arab fans with the decision to postpone her much-anticipated concert, which was part of her global tour and was set to take place on April 7 in front of the Giza Pyramids, until November 28, 2026.

The official management of the concert, part of her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour," announced that the postponement was due to current conditions in the region, stating that the new date had been carefully selected to fall on a weekend, which allows a greater opportunity for audiences from all over Egypt and the world to attend the event without conflicting with working days.

The concert, presented by "Venture Lifestyle," is one of the most anticipated artistic events in Egypt, bringing the Colombian star back to the land of the Pyramids nearly 20 years after her last performance there in 2007.

This postponement is part of a series of changes that have affected several artistic and sporting events in the region over the past few weeks, including Shakira's scheduled concert in Doha on April 1 and the "Offlimits" festival in Abu Dhabi on April 4, which were also postponed to November due to escalating regional tensions.

The "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" Tour, which means "Women No Longer Cry," is Shakira’s seventh world tour and supports her new album of the same name, which has achieved significant global success.

Shakira is renowned for her unique blend of Latin music, pop, and Arab rhythms, which has made her hugely popular in the Arab world.

The Egyptian concert had generated great excitement among the audience, especially with the choice of the Giza Pyramids—one of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World—as the venue, in a scene that combines history with international art.
