Digital Health Center connects its services with 12 hospitals and 3 health centers in Jordan

Khaberni - The Ministries of Health and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced today, Monday, on the expansion of the Digital Health Center services, and the center’s connection to 7 additional government hospitals; to increase the number of hospitals providing telemedicine services to 12 hospitals and 3 health centers across various provinces of the Kingdom.

The expansion of services offered by the center, which was established within the framework of the efforts of the National Council for Future Technology, aligns with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, to employ modern digital technologies in the health system, which contributes to improving healthcare services and easing the burden on citizens and medical staff.

The ministries clarified in a press release that the hospitals included in this connection phase are: Ruwaished, Northern Badia, Princess Iman Maadi, Al Shuna Al Janubia, Abi Obaida, Muath Bin Jabal, and Ghor Al Safi, joining the five hospitals connected in the first phase, which are: Ramtha, Tafila, Mafraq, Ma’an, and Al Eman - Ajloun.

Since its inauguration in July of last year, the center has, through its tele-diagnostic radiology unit, provided more than 29,000 reports, while the remote dialysis services unit has supervised over 19,000 sessions, and the remote intensive care unit has managed more than 900 patients.

In addition, the remote medicine clinic for diabetic and endocrine patients reviewed more than 500 consultations, and the number of consultations at the remote cardiology clinic reached more than 250 consultations.

The statement indicated that remote medical services, which allow communication with specialist doctors to provide medical consultations via audio and video mediums, have alleviated the patients’ burden of travel and have contributed to addressing shortages in some medical specialties, especially in remote areas.

The center also played a key role in monitoring the capacity of peripheral hospitals and pharmaceutical warehouses through integrated digital systems, ensuring the optimal use of health resources, helping to ease congestion and reduce waste.

The Digital Health Center, funded by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, serves as a national model for integrating the health and digital sectors, a practical step towards providing faster, higher quality, and fairer health services, and improving the service recipient's experience, embodying the government's commitment to leveraging technology to serve the citizen across the Kingdom.
