Khaberni - Dr. Ali Al-Saudi, a Jordanian physician and founder of Al-Saudi Hospital in Amman, warned of the danger of ignoring cardiac symptoms and refusing medical intervention in emergency cases, recounting a painful incident that ended with the death of a young man, although his condition could have been easily controlled and treated through catheterization and the placement of a balloon and stent.
Al-Saudi told "Khaberni" that a 42-year-old man came to the hospital emergency room complaining of chest pain, where examinations revealed that he was suffering from an early-stage heart attack, a condition that could have been easily controlled and treated. However, according to Al-Saudi, the patient refused medical intervention and signed a self-discharge form, leaving the hospital on his own responsibility.
He added that the public security contacted the hospital about two hours later, as the last call made by the deceased was from the hospital's emergency room. It turned out that the young man had been involved in a car accident at the sports city roundabout after losing control of his vehicle, and he died immediately.
Dr. Al-Saudi stressed the importance of listening to the body's signals, trusting the doctor, and not being negligent in emergency cases or signing liability waiver forms, emphasizing that human life is not solely the individual's concern, but a responsibility towards his family, parents, wife, and children who are waiting for his return.
He explained that heart attacks and arteriosclerosis do not occur suddenly, but are the result of a buildup of factors, the most prominent of which are smoking in all its forms, lack of movement, increased weight, elevated blood lipids, and stress. He noted that these factors can be controlled by quitting smoking, exercising, and adhering to regular check-ups.
He concluded his talk by recalling the words of Almighty God: {And do not kill yourselves. Indeed, Allah is ever Merciful to you}.
