Paris SaintGermain Responds to Mbappes Moves with a Show of Good Faith

Khaberni -  Media reports revealed that Paris Saint-Germain responded to the recent legal actions taken by the surroundings of the French star Kylian Mbappe, marking a new chapter in the ongoing dispute between the two parties that has lasted for nearly two years over unpaid dues amounting to 55 million euros.

The Spanish newspaper AS reported that the intriguing case saw a new development after Mbappe's lawyers sent a judicial notice to the Parisian club's headquarters demanding the payment of 5.9 million euros, the remaining amount from a total of 60.9 million euros ordered by the labor court last December in favor of the captain of the French national team.

It pointed out that according to the discussions, failure to pay this amount within an eight-day period might open the door to precautionary measures, including seizing the club's accounts.

In response, Paris Saint-Germain insists that it has acted in good faith since the beginning of the case, and at no point did it attempt to stall or delay the execution of judgments. Informed sources indicated that the club's administration has indeed engaged in direct negotiations with Mbappe's lawyers to agree on a mechanism for paying off the remaining amounts, which are still under discussion between the parties.

Furthermore, "The club clarified in a statement that it will respect the verdict issued by the Paris labor court, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to act with transparency and integrity, while also noting that the ruling is subject to appeal to the ordinary judiciary, despite being immediately enforceable," it added.

"Paris Saint-Germain retains its full right to appeal the decision, having until February 19 to file an appeal. If this step is not taken, the legal conflict that has occupied sports and media circles for a long period might officially end without any further escalation by the club towards its former player," it concluded.
