Real Madrid Regrets Modrics Departure

Khaberni -  Spanish media confirmed that Real Madrid regrets the departure of one of its most prominent stars last summer.

Marca reported that while Luka Modric is experiencing one of his happiest and most influential periods since his move to Milan, Real Madrid has begun to feel a clear void in their midfield, prompting many within the royal club's halls to increasingly lament the Croatian star's name.

The newspaper explained in its report: "Recently, Real Madrid's midfield has been suffering from significant disturbances, including frequent injuries and a decline in performance, accompanied by a clear gap in quality and experience, which has brought the debate about the decision to let go of Modric, who left the club last summer for the Italian league after more than a decade filled with success in Madrid,".

It added: "Unlike the usual practice at Real Madrid, when deciding to let go of an aging player at the end of his cycle, this time the reality was different,".

It continued: "Modric, despite reaching the age of forty, continues to perform at high levels with Milan under the leadership of Massimiliano Allegri, proving that age was never a barrier to his footballing genius,".

It increased: "The numbers reflect the magnitude of Modric’s impact with the Rossoneri this season, being the third most played player of the team with 1826 minutes, only behind Alexis Saelemaekers and Matteo Gabbia. He also holds the second position within the team in terms of ball recoveries, a clear indicator of his physical and mental presence in one of Europe’s most physically demanding leagues,".

Meanwhile, the feelings of regret at Real Madrid intensify with the ongoing absence of Jude Bellingham due to injury, and the decline in performance of both Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, making Modric's absence more painful, at a time when his presence could have restored balance and calm to a midfield greatly missing a leader of his stature and value.
