Khaberni - Australian Graham Arnold, coach of the Iraqi national team, confirmed the full readiness of the "Lions of Mesopotamia" to enter the decisive global playoff battle in Monterrey, Mexico, emphasizing that the only goal now is to secure a World Cup qualifying spot, as he stated during the Wednesday training session.

He said: "We will begin the hard work.. We have 7 days until the decisive match (March 31), we are fully prepared to face the winner of the Bolivia and Suriname match."
Advantage in ranking and player readiness
Arnold expressed great confidence in the 28-player roster, affirming that the Iraqi team has the advantage as it is the highest-ranked by "FIFA" among the teams participating in this path.
He added: "The players are at the highest levels of physical readiness thanks to the continuity of local competitions, and the professionals coming from Europe are in excellent fitness, and we will choose the most suitable of them for the task."
Spirit of 1986 and emotional motivations
The Australian coach recalled the historic single participation of Iraq in the 1986 World Cup, which was also held in Mexico, considering it a "positive sign" to repeat the achievement.
