Health Choking cases in AlAis Care Center under control

Khaberni - The Ministry of Health confirmed that a number of beneficiaries from the Al-Ais Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tafilah Governorate exhibited mild and moderate respiratory symptoms, which necessitated the admission of 11 cases to Tafilah Government Hospital for necessary medical care.

Director of Epidemic Management at the ministry, Dr. Ayman Maqableh, said that 6 cases were discharged from the hospital after their health conditions improved, while only 5 cases are still under medical supervision, all in stable condition with no severe cases among them.

Dr. Ayman explained that the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, immediately upon noticing the cases, formed a crisis cell that included the departments of epidemiology, communicable diseases and environmental health, in addition to Tafilah Health Directorate and the director of Tafilah Hospital, which began working immediately to handle the situation on the ground.

Maqableh clarified that the symptoms included problems in the upper respiratory tract and breathing difficulties, noting that some X-ray images showed slight changes in the lungs of a limited number of cases. Necessary laboratory samples were also taken and sent to the central laboratory in Amman, in accordance with approved medical protocols.

He indicated that the Rapid Response Teams moved to the shelter center, where all the residents were examined, and no further symptoms were recorded, while the affected cases were isolated and monitored medically, alongside appointing doctors to monitor the health situation and perform periodic examinations three times a day to ensure the residents of the shelter center were symptom-free.

Maqableh confirmed that the Ministry of Health is continuously monitoring the situation, and that all preventive and therapeutic measures have been taken, reassuring that the health situation is under control and there is no cause for concern.
