The Single Woman A New Category Enters Humanitarian Aid in Kuwait

Khaberni - The Ministry of Social Affairs in the State of Kuwait has announced the addition of a new type of aid to the central aid system, as part of its commitment to organize charitable work and enhance the social support umbrella for the deserving categories.

The Ministry explained in a circular addressed to the board members of charitable societies and foundations that the new case includes the unmarried Kuwaiti woman, «provided that she is 30 years of age or older, and that her father has deceased», indicating that the implementation of this case will currently be on a trial basis, with a view to considering its adoption as a permanent basic case among the approved aid cases if its effectiveness is proven.

The Ministry urged the charitable societies and foundations to withdraw these cases from the system and study them according to the approved mechanism, and to provide the necessary aid to the deserving women, while also emphasizing the need to verify the existence of an official document proving the father’s death when studying each case.

It is worth mentioning that the central aid system of the Ministry of Social Affairs includes needy families, orphans, widows, people with special needs, the elderly, the indebted, patients, and low-income individuals and covers various types of aid, including: lump-sum aids, family sponsorship aids, medical aids, educational aids, indebtedness aids, and orphan sponsorship aids.
