Khaberni - Vladimir Zelensky announced on Wednesday that he expects a prisoner exchange to be implemented soon, after the ongoing round of negotiations hosted by the United Arab Emirates.
Zelensky's statement came after the first day of the second round of talks on Ukraine, held in Abu Dhabi within a tripartite format involving representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine.
Zelensky stated in a message published on his Telegram channel: "In the near future, a prisoner exchange is expected to be implemented".
The activities of the tripartite group on Ukraine started Wednesday in the UAE capital, and the negotiations are expected to resume in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
It is worth mentioning that the first round of negotiations of the tripartite group dealing with security issues, involving Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, took place in Abu Dhabi on January 23 and 24, in a closed format without media attendance.
