Khaberni - In her first appearance after an absence of more than 24 years, the Egyptian artist Mona Lisa revealed the reasons for her withdrawal from the art world, as well as her desire to return to acting once again.
Mona Lisa said during a television interview that she entered the acting field by coincidence, as she was working at the time in choreography. Upon participating in her first cinematic work in the film "Humam in Amsterdam" with the actor Mohamed Henedi, and the film’s great success, she fell in love with acting and continued to produce more successful works.
Regarding the reasons for her withdrawal from the art world at the height of her success and fame, Mona Lisa said that she got married and emigrated to the United States with her husband after the release of the film "Friends or Business". There, she gave birth to three daughters and preferred to dedicate herself to raising them. She also mentioned that the difficulties of the art scene at the time made her live a conflict between continuing in the arts or withdrawing, before she ultimately decided to step away.
In good news for her fans who are still connected to her works and her appearances, Mona Lisa said that she does not mind returning to acting once again, although she is waiting for a good offer to come her way to make a comeback to the screen and to her audience after a long absence.
In an unexpected surprise, she said that she has recently turned to singing, and that she has released a song expressing her love and longing for her homeland Egypt, confirming that she is connected to the nation despite the many years of migration, and longs to return to it again.
She added that her youngest daughter has inherited the talent from her, and wishes to act in order to follow in her mother's footsteps and continue the legacy.
It is worth mentioning that the artistic career of the artist Mona Lisa did not exceed three years, yet during those years she presented a number of remarkable works that remain in the memory of her audience to this day despite the long absence.
Among her most important works are the films "Humam in Amsterdam" with Mohamed Henedi and Ahmed El Sakka, and "Friends or Business" with Hany Salama and Mostafa Amar, and the series "Morning and Evening Talk" with Khaled El Nabawy and Laila Eloui, among other successful and distinguished works.
