Khaberni - The Egyptian Acting Professions Syndicate warned actors and workers in the artistic field against dealing with individuals or entities that promote fictitious artistic projects, including radio series.
The syndicate confirmed in an official statement that it has detected attempts to exploit the name of "Radio Egypt" in requesting financial contributions from actors under the name of packages starting from 5,000 Egyptian pounds, increasing according to the size of the role, which is a clear violation of the professional and legal rules in force.
The Syndicate emphasized that any radio or dramatic artistic work must be carried out through accredited production entities with clear, formal contracts, and in full coordination with the syndicate and the broadcasting entity that owns the name, confirming that collecting money from actors in exchange for roles is a practice that violates legality and necessitates legal accountability.
The Acting Professions Syndicate urged its members not to be swayed by such advertisements or unverified promises, and to ensure to return to the syndicate's headquarters to verify the legitimacy of any work attributed to official or well-known media entities before engaging in any financial transactions.
The syndicate concluded its statement by affirming that all legal measures will be taken against any person or entity proven to be involved in exploiting the names of major media institutions or damaging the members of the syndicate or its professional reputation.
