Khaberni - The number of martyrs from the Israeli bombing on Gaza on Wednesday rose to 17, announced by the sector's civil defense, while the Israeli occupation army talked about strikes it claimed were in response to the shooting of one of its officers.
Mohamed Basal, spokesman for the civil defense, said, "17 martyrs, including several children, an infant and several women, and more than 40 injuries, are the initial toll of martyrs and wounded due to the Israeli aerial and artillery bombing on the Gaza Strip."
The previous toll counted nine martyrs, including four children.
