A collective stroke of luck 21 Belgians share 123 million euros in one night

Khaberni - 21 friends from the town of Zingem in East Flanders, Belgium, won the EuroMillions jackpot, totaling 123 million euros, after they purchased a regularly shared lottery ticket.

The friends used to meet at a local café in the town, where they would collect a small amount of money from each other to participate in the draw. The winning ticket was purchased from a small shop functioning as both a bakery and café. This shop is an official lottery ticket outlet, which is where they usually bought their tickets from.

According to local media, each of the 21 friends contributed only 5 euros, making the total ticket cost about 105 euros. The winning numbers were: 14, 18, 31, 35, and 46, along with the two stars 7 and 11.

One of the winners commented on the victory, "Getting about 5.8 million euros each is unbelievable," while the owner of the shop where the ticket was sold mentioned, "It was very simple. They came on Friday morning, bought a ticket with randomly selected numbers, and won."

Each winner will receive about 5.8 million euros, and the friends preferred not to disclose their identities. They also confirmed that they have not yet decided how to spend the amount and showed no intent to leave their jobs at this time. This prize is among the largest ever won by Belgians in the history of EuroMillions, turning the small town into a place of exceptional joy.
