Khaberni - The Israeli occupation army reported today, Wednesday, that a reserve officer was seriously injured following a shooting targeting a military force in northern Gaza Strip.
The army clarified in an official statement that the incident occurred during the night, while carrying out operational activities by the forces of Brigade Eskendroni 3 in an area known as «the Yellow Line» north of the strip, where gunmen opened fire towards the advancing force.
The statement mentioned that the injured officer was urgently transferred to the hospital for treatment, noting that his family has been informed about his health condition.
The army added that its forces immediately responded to the source of the fire; tanks fired towards the gunmen, concurrently with air strikes targeting the same area.
The statement claimed that what occurred is a «clear violation of the ceasefire agreement» in effect in the area.
