Do Not Ignore the Method Eating Habits Are Important for Your Bodys Benefit

Khaberni - Nutrition experts confirmed that the way of eating is just as important as its quality, indicating that some common dietary habits may limit the body’s absorption of essential nutrients, even when adhering to a balanced healthy diet.

The experts explained, according to "Daily Mail", that the absorption of vitamins and minerals is affected not only by the quality of the food, but also by the way foods and beverages are combined. Some dietary combinations can enhance the nutritional value of meals, while others may hinder the body's ability to benefit from them.

They mentioned that drinking coffee or tea during breakfast is one of the most common habits, but it can reduce the absorption of iron due to the compounds in the beverages that bind with iron in the digestive system; making it difficult to absorb, especially for vegetarians.

They affirmed that the solution lies in the timing separation between consuming caffeine-rich beverages and eating food, either one hour before the meal or an appropriate length of time after.

The experts also warned against combining leafy greens like spinach and chard with calcium-rich foods like cheese, due to their content of oxalate compounds that hinder the absorption of calcium, pointing out that steaming vegetables reduces the impact of these negative compounds.

In contrast, the experts clarified that some dietary combinations can enhance the absorption of beneficial elements, such as combining spinach or lentils with lemon, as vitamin C helps improve the absorption of iron present in these foods.

They also emphasized the importance of adding healthy fats such as olive oil and avocado to vegetables and salads to enhance the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K.

The experts concluded their recommendations by emphasizing that awareness of the way of eating is just as important as choosing its ingredients, confirming that following correct dietary habits contributes to maximizing nutritional benefits and maintaining long-term body health.
