Factors Increasing the Risk of Early Death in Women

Khaberni - A recent medical study revealed that chronic inflammation and the accumulation of body fat increase the risk of early death in women after menopause.

During the study, scientists analyzed data from more than 7800 women in post-menopause, and research showed that improvements in cardiovascular health indicators, according to the "Life’s Essential 8" and "Life’s Crucial 9" scales, were associated with a decreased risk of early death for any reason, particularly heart diseases.

Further analysis showed that part of this relationship could be attributed to levels of fats and systemic inflammation in the body. After menopause, women often experience redistribution of fats, especially around the abdominal area, which might increase inflammatory processes and raise risks for heart diseases and metabolic disorders, thereby increasing the risk of early death.

The researchers confirmed that the findings highlight the importance of controlling lifestyle factors, such as diet, physical activity, sleep, and smoking cessation. Maintaining heart and metabolic health after menopause can significantly contribute to reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and increasing the life expectancy of women.
